VEEDERSBURG — Vina E. (Lindley) Keister, age 92 of Veedersburg, died at 12:38 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008 at St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. Vina was born September 29, 1915 in rural Veedersburg. She was the daughter of Miles and Grace Ann (Harmon) Lindley. She was a graduate of Vermilion Grove School. She lived in rural Veedersburg and later resided in Veedersburg, until becoming a resident of The Waters of Covington on August 30, 2001. Vina married Edward Lee Keister on September 28, 1935. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1952. She worked for Marshall Studios in Veedersburg retiring in 1978. Vina was a member of the Community Bible Baptist Church in Veedersburg. She was very active with her Bible studies and her church group. She enjoyed tile designs which she did at Marshall Studios. Surviving are a daughter, Judy L. (Rick) Colby of Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Ann "Cookie” Clawson, Rich (Janis) Colby and Lee Colby and great-granddaughter, Morgan Colby. Vina was preceded in death by her husband Lee, and three sisters, Hazel Riley, Pauline Padgett, Floy Lindley. Funeral services were held at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg on Sunday, May 25 with Minister Bryce Wiley officiating. Interment was held at Centennial Cemetery near Kingman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Bible Baptist Church. – jlr
